It’s the baking part that counts: part 2!

‘It’s the baking that counts’ returns for seconds this Saturday after the success of last year’s event. The charity event, in aid of Spinal Research, is open to all budding bakers of any age or skill level. all you have to do is make a cake or some cupcakes and bring them down to the Prince of Wales Pub in Moseley on Saturday 21st April at 12 noon. The cakes will be displayed for a couple of hours during which time your friends, family and anyone in the pub can vote for their favourite. The most popular cakes win prizes.

We have 3 categories which cost only £5.00 to enter per entry:

1) Baked cakes: – your cake will be taste tested so you won’t be able to have these back (friends and family or anyone in the pub get to try the variety of cakes before completing their ballot paper!).
2) Decorated cake:- one cake any size. These cakes will not be cut and you may take them home with you (or donate them for auction).
3) 6 cup cakes:- decorate any 6 (per single entry) cupcakes however you want. Again these won’t be cut so you may take them home with you.

There will also be a cake eating competition which was very competitive last year with some very fast eaters!

Around 4pm the voting finishes, winners are declared and prizes are dished out!

Hope to see you and your cakes there. Happy baking!
