All you have to do to enter is join the Prince of Wales mailing list either by entering your email address into the box at the bottom of this page (under “Subscribe to our Mailing List” or head on over to our Facebook page and send us your email address via a message to be in the running. If you’ve already subscribed to out mailing list then you’ve already done the hard work, and will be put in the draw automatically.

12noon -1:30pm ‘cake drop’
1:30-3:00pm judging
3:00-3:30pm cake demonstration by Blue Door Bakery
4:00pm winners announced, prize giving, raffle draw and then cake auction

There are 3 categories to enter: Each cake can only be entered into one category.

It’s £5 entry fee per cake and £2 to be a judge (anyone in the pub can be a judge)

CATEGORIES
1) Baked Cake (these will get cut up and taste tested by all the judges)
2) Decorated Cupcakes (these will not be cut but judges vote for them based on the way they look)
3) Decorated Large Cake (these will not be cut but judges vote for them based on the way they look)

Entrants to arrive between midday and 1:30pm for ‘cake drop’, then at 1:30pm everybody in the pub is welcome to pay £2 to judge the cakes. This means they can taste test the baked cakes and judge by sight the decorated categories, they then vote for their top 3.

Voting slips will be collected and the results tallied up by 4pm for prize giving.

While waiting for the results to be tallied up, a lovely baker from Blue Door Bakery will do a fabulous demonstration of cake decorating.

The winning entrant in each category is the one with the most points from all their votes.
